A Safe Home for Lisa

Donation protected
Lisa is a woman who has committed her life to the service of others. She went to Kenya over 25 years ago to help a minority ethnic group develop a written language and literacy materials. Unfortunately, while there, she became very sick with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).  She came back to the US and has been disabled and unable to work since that time, living rent-free with family & friends all these years, as she has struggled to regain her health.

Although she has relentlessly tried both conventional and alternative therapies to do so, her health continues to decline. In addition to CFS, Lisa was diagnosed with Electro-magnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS) which has worsened dramatically in the past two years. Basically, this means that she cannot tolerate being around cell phone/wifi radiation or even electricity without special shielding. (Although conventional medicine does not yet recognize electro-magnetic frequency sensitivity as a valid diagnosis, her primary care physician absolutely acknowledges this reality as he has multiple patients suffering from it, as did he himself for a short period of time.)

As you can imagine, this condition makes it difficult for Lisa to get out. She is basically home-bound, with only her little dog for company. On top of that, her health is so poor that she cannot even tolerate living in her current location, needing to keep all circuits off unless they are being used. Because her housemates need their circuits on for normal living, it is no longer possible for Lisa to stay in their home. In the past few months, Lisa has been reduced to sleeping in her car. This situation is untenable. Because of her sensitivities, Lisa needs a specially constructed home (e.g, with shielded wiring), that is also far from wifi and cellphone tower radiation.

Currently a group of Lisa’s friends cover most of her monthly expenses (since she is on disability), but we cannot cover the costs of building or buying a decent house for her and related moving expenses. We need your help to make this happen for Lisa: to procure a safe, healthy home for her to reside in and to cover the costs of building or buying it and moving her there.

Lisa is in dire straits. She is discouraged emotionally and struggling physically. She desperately needs respite and relief as soon as possible. Our goal is to help her move by mid-November at the latest.

Lisa has identified a home in a low-EMF location in Arizona.  This very likely may be just what she needs. The home,  moving costs and related expenses will realistically be $200,000. So, we are asking you to contribute to the cause of raising the funds for this or a similar home. We know this is a large amount of money, but if just 200 people gave $1000 each, we'd meet this goal. That said, gifts of any size would be most welcome.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and your generosity. Our hope and prayer is that this gift will provide just what Lisa needs to heal physically, while encouraging her spirit as she pursues her healing journey.
