My name is Abood, the eldest of six siblings—four brothers and one sister.
I am married, and my wife and I are awaiting the arrival of our first child with hope in our hearts.
Before the war, we lived a quiet, peaceful life. My parents worked the land, and we owned a three-story home, a car, and a piece of farmland that was our main source of livelihood. That farmland has since been confiscated and is now under occupation, robbing us of the work of generations.
In the very first week of the war, we were forced to flee with nothing—not even a single change of clothes. We lost our home, our car, and everything we had built over the years, escaping with nothing but our lives.
My mother suffers from chronic illnesses and requires constant medical care, which is an enormous emotional and financial burden. My younger brother Hashim and my sister Hanadi are still at university, studying engineering and communications. The cost of their education has become almost impossible to bear under these circumstances.
Today, we live in a tent in the Moasi area of Khan Yunis. Our savings are gone, our possessions have vanished, and each day is a struggle for survival.
After much thought and with heavy hearts, my family decided to launch this campaign to help us face the daily challenges of life in Gaza—under siege, destruction, and loss.
We are not asking for charity—we are asking for a chance.
A chance to endure, to keep our family together, and to hold on to hope for a better tomorrow.
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a profound difference in our lives.
From my heart and my family’s heart—thank you for listening, for caring, and for standing with us.
