Can you help save Cone Queen?
Hi everyone, my name is Anna and I was born and raised in Hull.
It has always been my dream to run my own business and with lots of hard work and determination I have been able to do this for almost 2 years now, selling unique pizza cones within the Hull Trinity Market and even won the Regional Young Trader Award within the NMFT which was absolutely amazing!
This is just the beginning of our journey; Cone Queen has the potential to become something special. It is something special because our unique pizza cones.
However recently my dream suddenly came crashing down when we were informed by our only cone supplier that they have decided to cease baking indefinitely.
Just as our cones are unique the specialist machinery used to create them is also unique and cannot be bought off the counter. This machine moulds the dough to a high standard and sustainable level; having this machine would secure the future of Cone Queen.
Over the past few weeks I have been testing and sourcing various moulding machines to try and recreate the cone, however after using these machines, multiple recipes and multiple bakers these machines are only producing a poor standard, small and unsellable product.
During Cone Queen’s time, I have had the pleasure of working with some incredible people and have formed some wonderful relationships with our loyal customers, and because of this, it would be devastating to have to leave such an amazing family.
What does this mean for Cone Queen and can you help?
I am hoping that with a miracle and lots of help we will be able to raise enough money to purchase the specialist machinery.
This will help secure the future of Cone Queen and secure the future of my incredible team. I am not ready for this journey to be over and hopefully this won’t be the end.
