Dear Community, Friends and Family,
I am asking for a blessing from you.
My name is Maryann Brown-Martin, and I am passionate about my Business, MAB Insurance and the buildings from which I have operated in since 1994. I have helped many clients enhance their lives through the benefits of life insurance with education, understanding and patience. Many have been able to maintain property and standard of living. Clients have created and left legacies for loved ones.
Three years ago, I decided to suspend my Business to help care for my aging parents, also my sister, suffering with breast cancer. Time spent with them was invaluable.
However, my Business and Buildings suffered. Because I was not attentive, my buildings- I call them God’s Buildings- need repair and renovations. Only through Faith have I held on this long!
To reopen my doors and serve prospects and clients, there is a need for new flooring, new lighting, interior and exterior painting, signage and payment on some building expenses that are urgent. Previously, I was able to service my clients, manage and maintain my workplace, but life happened, and I was thrown off track. But now I am at a turning point where I must move forward or close my building. I need to raise funding by April 08 to move forward and so I am asking your support.
If I can raise $25,000, I can do those basic renovations mentioned and utilize my office to meet and service clients, and conduct educational seminars concerning money which are greatly needed in the Community. There would also be available space for other professionals once renovations are completed.
If I can raise $50,000 or more, I can replace the heater, hire an assistant, and pay down or pay off my mortgage. I am in a downtown area where revitalization is taking place. If I am to maintain God’s buildings, they must be in line with the City’s standards and codes. I can no longer do this on my own.
I am asking for you to empower me as a Professional Downtown Minority Business Owner who has used my skills and education to educate my community about money, life insurance and protecting assets. I am grateful I have come this far. However, there is still a great need for what I do, and I have tried to serve my Community well.
We have said at church that “many hands make for light work”. Many supporters giving what they can will allow me to continue my life work and continue my vision of owning my own office and meeting clients’ needs in a nice comfortable environment
If 250 people give at least $100, or 500 donors contribute $50, I will reach the 1st level of my campaign.
If 500 people give at least $100, I will reach the 2nd level of my goal.
