Abby's Adoption

We have been blessed through adoption with a beautiful baby girl, Abby! She is an answer to prayer after 6 years of waiting  for a child. 
Unfortunately adoption is expensive! There are lawyers fees, placement fees and home study fees. All info provided is based on an agency adoption with the Catholic Family Center(CFC). Here is a breakdown of where we are at...

CFC Home Study: $2,000 (PAID)
Birthmom Lawyer: $800 (PAID)
Our Lawyer: $2500 (PAID- this was partially funded by comedy night!)
Agency Placement Fee: $16,100 ($12,000 PAID) 
Court Home Study: ??? Waiting to see (range $200-$1,000)

Owed to CFC: $4100

We got a grant from Show Hope so that took $4,000 off the placement fee. We paid another $8,000 so that leaves $4,100 left to pay plus whatever the court home study will cost us. We wanted to do a payment plan over the next year but CFC wants the remainder in the next 2 months, we assume prior to finalization. 

We really don't like asking for assistance but because so many encouraged us to do so, we did.
