Abigail the Warrior Princess

As many of you know the Reiling family got the dreadful news on 8/7/17 that their precious 5 year old, Abigail, has stage 4 Wilms cancer that has metastisized to her lungs. A few days later she had major surgery to remove the tumor as well as 1 of her kidney's. Shortly after surgery a 25-30 week treatment process started that includes 12 radiation treatments and 15 chemo treatments. They hit it hard the first 2 weeks with radiation 5 days a week, with Abigail having to be sedated for each radiation as it has to be so precise, and
chemo on Wednesday's. Praise God she had her last radiation this past Wednesday, 9/6!! She will be continuing on with chemo treatments once a week. Abby has had some side effects of treatment with nausea, lack of appetite, low energy and skin reactions. Needless to say she has been quite the warrior! But not only has she been a warrior but so has the rest of the family. They have to drive to Dallas every day they have a treatment or doctor visit (45 minutes 1 way!). As they try to juggle the new schedule of treatments/doctor visits they also have 7 other kids with schedules of their own! The 3 older kids have started a new school this year so they are busying with school projects and activties. As well as having the younger kids and a 6 month old!! Thank God they have had great insurance through this but as we all know, insurance has it's limitations. They still have several out of pocket expenses for medications, travel expenses to/from doctor visits and treatments, medical bills and co-pays, childcare as well as lost wages with Dustin taking time off work to be there for his family. All these expenses are adding up and becoming overwhelming. Dustin and Jessica have had amazing support so far but I know there are so many of us that would love to help out but live far away. Here is a way you can help without being there physcially to assist them! Any donation will help from small to large, it all adds up! And I know Dustin and Jessica are eternally grateful to each and every person who has helped, whether it be with meals, transporting kids, watching kids, sending gifts, cards, donations and especially prayers. It's working because Abby is getting better each day! Keep it coming!
