Abergavenny Pride

Donation protected
For those who don't know, Abergavenny is a market town in Monmouthshire, Wales. With a population of approximately 12,500 it's a bustling town surrounded by 3 mountains and beautiful countryside. The nearest Pride event is Cardiff, which is also the country's largest Pride event. Not everyone can make this event and some may not want to go to such a massive Pride event which led 3 friends in December 2018 to ask the question "Why doesn't Abergavenny have a Pride?"

The question was put to Facebook and the next day it was decided that it had to be done. A Facebook group was formed and within 7 months Abergavenny held it's first Pride event and was a success! The event is run by a small group of volunteers who rely on the generous support of the community and small grants to ensure that this event remains free for all.

As there was so much support and enthusiasm last year,  we are aiming to make 2020's event better and so are looking for help from you to ensure that we can pull it off. This fundraising is not for profit and so any money raised will be put towards Abergavenny Pride to help with venue cost, entertainment, staging and other surprises and ensuring that the main event is free for all. Let's paint this rural town with rainbow colours again!
