I'd like to tell you about a very special man. A man who is a father, a husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. A man who loved to fish, hang out with his family and would often show up at family gatherings and jokingly ask, "Where's the steaks?" His sense of humor and constant phrase "Si Tu" always put a smile on our faces. He was a hard worker; a landscaper who cut down the highest trees for people in the community. He always offered to help people when he could. He loved to hand out money to the little ones in the family; often making them feel special. He went to church every Sunday, and was the coolest man there!!!
Abel Apolinar, has been fighting Leukemia for 14 years. On March 17th, he was admitted to the hospital and was told that his Bone Marrow had stopped producing the cells necessary to sustain his life. After many attempts of trying everything medically possible to help him, his body just was not cooperating. His Leukemia had spread through his body and attacked his Lymphatic system, turning his last diagnosis into Chronic Lymphocyte- Leukemia causing multiple tumors. He was released April 12th and taken by ambulance to his sister's Lidia's , so that he can spend his last moments in the comfort of his family. He is now on hospice at the end of his battle. On his behalf we are asking for help to give him the burial he so deserves. Whatever you can help with is appreciated. If you are unable, your thoughts and prayers are still very much appreciated with much love.
