India Trip 2015

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,

I have been presented with the opportunity to travel across the world to help serve the people of India. I am excited about this opportunity as my team and I will be able to help meet the needs of some of the less fortunate in Southeast India in March.

This will be the fourth year a trip like this has been organized by this group.  Each year I have felt a desire to go and for different reasons the timing has not been right, or I haven’t felt affirmed to go.  This year I feel confident that the time is right and I am being called to be a part of the team.  This is a very exciting and anxious affirmation that I have been patient to receive.

Our team has many goals while on the ground in India.  Each year the team tries to gift a project to the organization we support in India.  This year our focus projects will be two fold:

Orphanage Construction

To provide the manpower and financial resources needed to add onto an orphanage operated by our partner. Our partner has planned on adding a second-level to their building for quite some time and with our help and financial support, we will start the first wing of a larger project that they have not yet been able to start.

Health Awareness

To provide an educational day for the village leaders in the surrounding area on basic health care. Our goal is to equip about 440 village Health Advocates with knowledge on how to stay healthy, even in the typically unsanitary conditions that many villages live in.

The team and I are looking forward to serving the people of India and we are equally excited about learning from them. As we dive into a very different culture, we hope that we can serve them even just a portion as much as I can imagine they will touch our hearts.

Obviously, in order to travel to India and support to the villages and the orphanage, we will need your help. Each team member is responsible for raising $3,500. That cost covers airfare, meals, ground transportation, village expenses and the construction costs.  If you would please consider financial support of my trip to India in March, please follow this link at gofundme.com. Our church is also allowing donations to be collected through them. You can mail checks to:

Cascade Park Baptist Church

Their Federal Tax ID#91-1332930.  PLEASE make sure you note that your check should go towards India and it’s for Abby Duncan. That way it goes towards my trip.

For more information about this trip or how you might be able to offer your support please contact me, I will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Abby Duncan
