Abbi's big move 4 Autism Treatment!

Donation protected
Hello family, friends and anyone who has been impacted by Abbi's story!

I am writing and starting this campaign to get the Rose family back to Arizona so that Abbi can receive the care she so desperately needs and deserves!

Abigail Elizabeth Rose (Abbi) is a beautiful 16 year old girl. She has severe autism. She has an incredibly rare condition called Doose Syndrome, which means that she has seizures constantly, both myoclonic and aestatic, hundreds per hour, all over her brain. She has been given the diagnosis of Epilepsy, Global Developmental Delay with Regression, Cortical Visual Impairment and Sensory Integration Disorder.  And her family needs our help to help her.

On March 29th, Kristin bravely shared her story, publicly, on Facebook detailing her and her husband Kevin's experience in having to resort to taking Abbi, 16, to the Emergency Room in San Antonio, Texas because they were at a loss on what to do to bring Abbi some comfort and peace while keeping Abbi, themselves, their younger two children, Kristin's mother and their animals safe in their home. While at the hospital, they gained the knowledge that there are no facilities, state, private or otherwise that will accept Abbi. The only option they have been given at this point is to surrender their parental rights and give Abbi to the foster care system. That cannot and will not happen. Texas ranks 50th in the United States for mental health care. 50th. Dead last. And the wait list for services for Abbi through the state is 13-15 years long. This trip ended with them being sent home, with a prescription for Ativan, and no hope for help in sight. You can read Kristin's post here:

Let's band together to give this family hope and help!

It is now of utmost importance to get the Rose family back to Arizona where Abbi will be able to receive the help she and her whole family desperately need! When they lived in AZ previously, Abbi was able to attend school, and receive in-home help, therapy and respite for the family. These services were vital to her health and growth, as well as for the entire family. In Arizona, Abbi was cared for and helped as was her family. I am asking for help in raising the funds to help them move, to get Abbi the treatment and care that she needs, and to set up a life and forever home, back in Arizona.

The funds raised will be used as such:
*The cost of repairs to their current home to make it ready for market
*The cost of moving (moving truck, gas, food, lodging during the move)
*The cost of the first 3 months living expenses (rent including first last and deposit, utilities, gas, car, insurance, etc)

The three months of living expenses will allow them time to establish Abbi with the state for care and treatment, as well as give time to obtain gainful employment.

Anything extra or not used in the cost of the move or first three months will be used to purchase a new larger vehicle which would give Abbi her own row and space in the car while she goes on rides, one of her most favorite things to do. Kristin has been chronicling her daily rides on Facebook to allow all of us a glimpse into Abbi's world. These posts can be found at:

Please help us keep this beautiful family together and happy as they work to get Abbi back to Arizona for treatment and services! Any amount at all is appreciated more than we can express, as is every like or share of Abbi's story.

Thank you,
