Abbey's great - Tumors are not.

Donation protected
As many of you know, my dear sister-in-law, Abbey Jones is in treatment for a rare malignant brain tumor with a name too long to try and spell. She was rushed to the hospital after waking up from a seizure shortly after Christmas. The next few days she spent unconscious.

During that time, the tumor was removed and we all held our breath waiting, while questions whirled around in our heads. Would she wake up? Would she still be herself? What kind of tumor is it? Will she need further treatment? How did this happen? And so on and so on. She was surrounded by family, friends and her devoted husband the entire time.

When Seth told me that she woke up and started talking some, I felt immediate relief. She really wanted coffee. She slowly woke up and came back to herself and we all could breathe again.

The initial news regarding the tumor was bad. The doctors thought it would either be “really bad” as in not very treatable, or just “bad” as in - not great, but treatable. The doctors told Tim they were fairly certain it was the “really bad” tumor. Through so much prayer and hope and faith, and to the doctor’s surprise, it was just the “bad” tumor. Abbey just finished her first week of chemo and radiation.

Of course, no one can afford a medical crisis of this degree. The medical costs (even with insurance) are great and there is also the loss of wages from work to consider. Abbey and Tim are givers. They want, more than anything, to help others - and do in a variety of different ways through charities. This time, they need a little help. After many conversations, Seth and I convinced them to allow us to help through this Go Fund Me. This money will all go toward medical cost and to cover some of the loss of wages. If there is anything donated over what they owe, Abbey and Tim want you to be assured it will go to St. Jude.

Abbey and Tim have two kiddos and work normal middlish class jobs like most of us. I, and of course, they, will be forever grateful for any help you can offer, whether monetary or prayer (well-wishes, good thoughts, positive vibes and the like are also accepted). Thank you for journeying with them in this way.

Love,

Elycia
