Abbey Sarsfield's GAA Club fundraiser

As you are aware, in line with government guidelines, Abbey Sarsfields GAA Club have ceased all activities  due to the COVID19 pandemic. Along with this we have had to cease all fundraising activities and this has had a devastating financial impact on the club and puts the future of Abbey Sarsfields GAA club in jeopardy. Annual fundraising events such as bag-packing, seasonal draws and other events vital to the day-to-day running of our club are now in doubt, which in turn means one of our main sources of income has effectively been eliminated.

Whilst all activities have been ceased, maintenance of club facilities have to be maintained to a standard that allows us to resume activity once the restrictions are lifted. Along with this, bills, insurance and other overheads are an ongoing concern and still have to be paid on a monthly basis.

Prior to the COVID19 pandemic we had re-established underage training and launched a 5 year development plan and uptake of this service was widely received, we continue to concentrate on developing and promoting our club in the community.

Therefore, the officers, committee and club members are appealing for donations  to ensure that we can continue to cover associated costs which will in turn allow Abbey Sarsfields to survive and to continue to serve the Corbally area and the north side of the city.
