100 Hospitals in 365 - Phase 1 West Coast!

This fundraiser is broken into 6 phases - PH1 West Coast - PH2 South West - PH3 Rockies - PH4 Mid Plains - PH5 North East - PH6 South East
If goal is exceeded the monies will roll into the next phase until tour is completed.
ALOHA! Well, here I go. I'm on a mission to visit 100+ Children's Hospitals across the United States within 365 days with my "Healing Dinosaurs Tour." This includes plans to visit large non-profit hospital organizations such as Shriner's and St. Jude, as well as military hospitals, long-term care clinics and hospice care.
I won't be waiting to get total funding to start the tour however as I said in the video I will start the tour and go as far as the money takes me. This will be a continual fundraising campaign throughout the year. NOTE: None of the monies collected from this campaign is going towards my personal bills including rent, car payment etc.......

THE DETAILS
The financial goal was a tough one to tabulate and most of my friends and family seem to think I'm going to run out of money before I hit 100 hospitals but I'm confident in my calculations. I'm estimating that my total travel time will be close to 240 days. My formula for travel expenses was based on airfare, car rental/insurance, parking, gas, lodging, food.
AIR TRAVEL: Most of the air travel will occur in the first two phases to maximize time and visit potential. As I travel into more densely populated states the need for air travel will drop significantly whereas driving will get me to major cities that are in closer proximity.
GROUND TRAVEL: It looks like 65% of travel will be car rental. There are plenty of smaller hospitals with pediatric wards in-between large cities that I can visit driving rather than flying. Stays at the larger cities with multiple hospitals will require 3-5 day lodging so in most cases ground travel between locations can be done with Uber/Lyft as an economic choice.
FOOD/GAS/LODGING: Of course lodging is a big part of the funding. I'm expecting to get rates from $65+ a night while small-town jumping and as much as $150+ in major cities. As for food/gas per day, I'm thinking around $45 per day. Fortunately WHYit and Brandon don't eat much :)
TRAVEL INSURANCE: Yes, I have medical insurance but I want to have a little extra "act of God" comfort just in case. Also included in this are back-up puppets so in the case of loss/theft I make one call and have new dudes ready to go and overnight shipped to keep the mojo in motion.
THE TAX MAN: Because I'm not part of a non-profit and this call-to-action is considered fundraising for entertainment, I'm going to have to pay taxes on any monies pulled from this campaign of which is factored into the goal amount.
GOING OVER GOAL SET ON GOFUNDME: On the chance that the goal is exceeded I will be setting my sights on continuing my tour as long as the money can stretch me. This includes other countries north-south-east-west whereas I also speak enough Spanish to make'em laugh too!
