Abara Dibaki's Kidney Transplant

Barely 6 months after Abara’s 40th birthday, he was diagnosed with C3 Glomerulonephritis. This is a very rare condition with less than 4000 known cases worldwide. In a normal sequence, there would be a roughly 10 years period between diagnosis and kidney failure but in Abara’s case, this all happened in less than 1 year. He was diagnosed in July 2017 and in July 2018, he was dialysis bound. Abara started dialysis 1 month ago and the journey has not been easy since then. The next milestone is a kidney transplant for which he is currently undergoing evaluation. This is an incredibly hard time for our family, and we are calling on our friends and well-wishers to help make this journey smoother as we travel through this turbulent period.33700844_1539389699565633_r.jpeg
