WINTER IS COMING FAST......... AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!
No shelter plans for these types of emergency situations
so when they come resources are exhausted to save lives!
Chris Poole from Cole & Marmalade, Save-A-Pet (SAP) and Animal Services and Assistance Programs (ASAP) joined forces to save over 60 plus abandoned cats and kittens on a Northern Illinois property.
The living conditions for the animals were deplorable.
Each night for the past 5 months volunteers have been at the property trapping. Some of cats needed extensive veterinary care in order to save their lives ranging from rectal prolapse to long-term hospitalization, fluid therapy and antibiotics. Many of the kittens rescued exhibited cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition from birth, that results in walking and balance problems.
With winter is just around the corner and SAP and ASAP continue to trap. We desperately need donations to cover the costs of all of the veterinary care, sterilizations, vaccinations, testing and micro-chipping.
Your donations will help us to continue to trap and provide veterinary care for the remaining cats and to enable us to continue to provide food and build housing to ensure all cats are safe and warm!
