Abaco Commercial Fisherman Recovery

Hurricane Dorian wiped out most of the commercial fishing interests in the Abacos.  Most independent fishermen lost their boats and their fishing equipment.  It is vitally important for the economic recovery of the Abacos to help get these fishermen on their feet again. This fishermen do not use industrial fishing techniques. Their recovery will help prevent the introduction of destructive industrial fishing to the Bahamas by foreign interests, thus preserving a sustainable Bahamian food and sport fishing industry.

The funds will be used to replace boats and equipment. Having lived in the Abacos with my family for seven years, I personally know several of these fishermen who have lost everything. My goal is to help them with these funds.  Thank you for considering this worthy cause.
