I am reaching out to you during a time of need, transition and crisis.
Due to my declining health and inability to carry out the duties of my job, I made the extremely difficult decision to resign. It was my hope to get another job right away as I have worked since I was 10 years old and even held several jobs at once.
The doctors are unable to currently diagnose my condition, except to provide me pain medication to try to manage my pain. I am having a hard time getting around at this point as it hurts to walk for any length of time and I require my legs to be propped up. Some days, the pain is so debilitating that I am unable to leave the house.
It is painful for me to ask for donations because I never saw myself being in this position, but at this point but I have no other alternative. My wife and I would like to keep our home if possible.
My wife's income is unable to support us at this time and I currently have $8,000 that I owe in medical bills due to several ER visits over the past few months.
I was diagnosed with diabetes in April 2009. The insulin medication is very expensive and I have had to go without it at times as I was unable to afford it. After going to the hospital for chest pain, I returned again only to find that I had kidney stones that required a surgical procedure. I experience severe leg pain and weakness, burning sensations in my back (preventing me from sleeping on back) and diabetic nerve pain. My physician requires an MRI in order to diagose my health condition but my insurance company is unwilling to cover it despite several requests from my doctor.
What hurts me the most is that I have 4 grandchildren and I can't roll around on the floor with them, play with them or even take them for walks. My prescribed medication prevents me from being able to drive. If I need to drive, I am unable to take my medication.
I had high hopes to get another job right way but with my worsening health, it does not appear that working is an option for now.
We would be grateful for donations of any amount and I want to thank you in advance for your help. Even if you are unable to provide a donation, prayers would be much appreciated. More than anything, I would love to be healed so I can spend quality time with my family and be able to support my wife and I.
