<div>My name is Elizabeth Smith. In October after having a endoscopy my daughter’s husband and my three grandchildren’s father Anthony Hickman was diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma of the Esophagus. Over the past few months he has been through 6 weeks of concurrent chemo and radiation and next week on February 8th he will be having an esophagogastrectomy. This surgery comes with an estimated hospital stay of around two weeks and a recovery of around six months. Unfortunately Andy has no short term disability insurance. My daughter will be out of work with him for around 4-6 weeks while he recovers and after that she will return to work. I am asking for help for them during this time to help pay for medical expenses, gas to travel back and forth to the hospital and appointments once he comes home, and for there biweekly insurance premiums that must be paid out of pocket while they are both out of work. If you are able to help I know that they would appreciate any help during this difficult time.
