After Roger's stroke and rehabilitation, the challenges keep coming! Since Roger's stroke the family has met and overcome many obstacles but since Roger did not sustain his stroke while on active duty, the Veterans Administration (VA) limits what benefits he can receive.
At this time we are trying to raise funds to assist the family with transportation. The goal is to find a reliable wheelchair van so Roger can have the freedom to leave the house without the costly expense of renting transportation services. He currently receives all his therapies (physical, speech and occupational) away from home each week.
Previous efforts to gain eligibility for transportation through veteran's funds, insurance and grants have been unsuccessful to date.
Roger served for 27 years in the United States Army. He served his country with honor and valor. Now it's our turn to serve.
Will you consider assisting us in reaching this goal of independence for Roger?
