Aaryn Goldberg Investigation

Donation protected
On June 4, 2015 our daughter’s broken body was found on a rocky beach just north of the Point Bonita Lighthouse (San Francisco). Aaryn's lifeless body was found by a jogger almost two days after she had joined hikers, who were there on a monthly walk, to view the lighthouse and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Despite significant evidence of foul play, a halfhearted investigation by local authorities declared Aaryn’s death "undetermined". This has left us--her parents--to pursue our own investigation into the cause of our daughter's untimely death.

The authorities involved in Aaryn's investigation have persistently refused to cooperate by denying our legitimate right to access the investigation materials and Aaryn's files. Between her funeral, legal, and investigative expenses, we have exhausted our fiscal resources and need your assistance and support in order to continue our own investigation into the cause of our daughter's untimely and tragic death.

Aaryn’s innocent wisdom and intelligence taught us so many things. Her perceptions of the world and acceptance of others were what drew her close to so many wonderful teachers and friends. We encouraged her, just as she encouraged each of us, with persistence, accomplishment, and passion. An honors student, Aaryn loved animation and was on the verge of completing her Master’s degree in her chosen field. As her parents, we took pride in noticing that she had recently blossomed from a budding artist into an accomplished one with great promise for achieving her life’s goals.

Aaryn is remembered by friends, family and teachers alike as one who daily shared the joy that she experienced in life and worked diligently in anticipation that she might make others smile. Through her art Aaryn believed she might be doing her small part to make the world a better place. Her unselfish acts touched everyone she met.

Our family continues to struggle with the loss of our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. We hope to attain some closure through our continuing investigation into the tragic events that lead to her death. We also hope to be able to make some sense of a senseless tragedy and give meaning to this horrible loss. All funds collected will go to support an independent investigation into her death with any residual funds going to charities and scholarships in Aaryn’s name.

We truly appreciate all the people in Aaryn’s life who contributed to her happiness and to the wonderful person she became. Words can't describe the tragedy of our loss and our shared pain, nor express our bittersweet joy at knowing that Aaryn created so much love and happiness in her twenty-four short years. Aaryn lives on through the lives of those she cared for and who loved her. We are grateful to you all for your love and support.
