Brother badly burnt in his house fire.

This is for my 25 year old brother Aaron Buckner who is severly burnt after his home caught on fire on 04/26/2014. Everything was lost in this fire to include his home, clothes, and any precious memories decorating his rooms. He was burnt over 25% of his body to include his arms, face,back, and hands. He is currently at Norfolk Sentara General Hospital in the Burn Trauma ICU and is anticipated to be there for many months. After 2 days doctors were able to run a scope down Aaron's throat and they have discovered his lungs are severely damaged and burnt. At this time doctors are not able to tell us defintively if he will pull through this. Although his family knows he is strong and is one of the toughest individuals we know, we know he will have a long road ahead of him. We were informed that he will have to remain at Norfolk for several months and will need numerous sugeries to repair the damage currently caused to his skin. Aaron will then need to be sent to a special hospital to continue in this recovery however, Aaron is uninsured and our mother will be struggling to help him get Medicaid needed before he is able to be transferred. Following his release from all facilities Aaron will need a home care for several months following and extensive amount of physical therapy for his hands. The Buckner/Smith family is asking for any help that you are able to provide to any of Aaron's expenses.

Aaron is also a father to a young son who is currently missing out on precious moments with one another. We never realize how important ones touch is until situations like this and we are saddened that Aaron is missing out on moments with his precious son. We are trying to help with the financial burden so that Aaron is able to focus on what is most important and that is both his son, and his recovery.

All money raised will be given directly to our mother and father (Belinda and Tim Smith) as they will be his biggest caretakers during this journey.
