<div>Starting at the end of May 2026, I will be cycling across the country, following the <a href="https://www.adventurecycling.org/routes-and-maps/adventure-cycling-route-network/transamerica-trail/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">TransAmerica Route</a> from the Altantic Ocean in Yorktown, VA to the Pacific Ocean in Astoria, OR. In general, I will be traveling by myself without a support vehicle, though a few friends are planning on joining me for a few days here and there. If you would like to be one of those friends, let me know!! The trip will take me about 2.5 months, and I will primarily be tent camping along the way. <div>In order to fund the trip, I am inviting YOU to sponsor me while also supporting Scouting America Troop 448 of Lakewood, CO. Half of the money raised will be donated to Troop 448 to help fund Eagle Scout projects and to provide scholarships for scouts interested in going on high adventure trips. My experiences as a scout as a youth, and now as an adult leader in this troop, have been incredibly formative throughout my life. Being a scout instilled in me a love for outdoor adventure and has empowered me to set and plan for achieving audacious goals. I am currently an assistant scoutmaster in Troop 448, and my son is working toward the Star rank. With your financial support, you can help me achieve a lifelong goal of pedaling across the country from coast to coast, while also making a real impact on the lives of young people. Troop 448 is a vibrant and welcoming troop with several active female and male scouts and leaders.
