Aaron and Leah Fire Fund
Donation protected
Not even three months following their wedding, Aaron and Leah, survived an apartment fire. On Friday, February 22nd just before midnight, they awoke to their apartment filling with smoke from a fire that started in the apartment directly below them.
After failing to escape through the front door due to smoke, they were rescued by the Bellevue Fire Department by climbing down a ladder from their balcony on the third floor. The fire department rescued their dog, but sadly, their cat didn't survive the fire.
They are working with the Red Cross for immediate needs, and have already opened a claim with their insurance company.
The fire burned through to their apartment, and with smoke and water damage, it is expected to be a total loss, displacing everyone that lived in the building. They left their apartment with nothing. No ID cards, no bank cards, no keys to their cars, not even their shoes.
They have what is most important - each other. But still, this is shocking and they feel like they're starting over. It's our hope to raise some funds to help them in the near term, and hopefully relieve some stress as they rebuild.
If you can help by contributing something, they would greatly appreciate it.
