ABOUT US:
Camp Newfound is a non-profit girls camp for Christian Scientists located in Harrison, Maine. It runs for 7 weeks out of the summer and has girls ages 7-16. With a staff of over 35 this is a place that promotes character development, leadership & spiritual growth.
OUR PROJECT:
Our project is to raise funds to buy communal space outdoor furniture for our porches and lodges. We would love your support!
We need patio and outdoor furniture for our communal space. We would allocate the funds as following:
-Outdoor furniture set at the doghouse for the staff to have space for meetings and group projects etc.
-Outdoor furniture set on the director cottage porch for meetings, and to make the director's cottage a welcoming place for staff, campers and visitors.
-24 Adirondack Chairs for each cabin porch for metaphysical study in the morning and for campers to enjoy their cabin porches.
-2 outdoor rocking chairs for the Hilltop Lodge porch
The reason we need funds for this is because we don't want to pull from our program funding which takes priority. This addition to camp would create a more home away from home feel for the place we all love. It will lift staff and camper morale and allow us to enjoy time outside studying, reading, writing, and spending time with each other.
As a staff we thought it would be an amazing gift to give camp this furniture if we could raise the funds. What a wonderful way to start our summer as a unified team to reach one end goal. In addition, we will all be contributing to this fund ourselves but need your help to reach it!
OUR GOAL:
RAISE $3300.00 IN 5 DAYS. We need to order the furniture by next Wednesday. Our deadline is Wednesday June 18th by 10AM!
