Hi, my name is Sophie and I am fundraising to help an Inuk family of 6 go visit their homeland and their family this summer. During the pandemic, many of us have suffered from not being able to travel to see our families and loved ones who live outside of the Atlantic provinces. We can all relate to the longing to be home and to hug our loved ones. This family hasn't been able to go home for many years, some of the children have never met their grandparents. This summer they are very keen to travel up North because their grandmother has been diagnosed with cancer. The cost to travel up North is prohibitive. Let's support them to reunite with their relatives and, for the youngest children, to discover their homeland, their culture and their roots. We are trying to raise the funds as quickly as possible to get them home this summer. Any donation you can make will be greatly appreciated and will be another step toward reconciliation and supporting an Inuk family connect with their beautiful culture!
