Our Mission and History

Join us in making a difference in the lives of deserving African American

students by supporting the Austin Area Alliance of Black School Educators

(AAABSE) Scholarship Fund. With a rich history of dedication to improving the

educational achievements of Austin-area children since 1996, AAABSE has been

tirelessly working to provide social and instructional support for African

American students, staff, and families.

Scholarship Impact

Over the past 27 years, AAABSE has awarded more than 120 scholarships, with

recent awards amounting to $1,000 per student. These scholarships have

empowered young minds, creating opportunities for growth and success.

However, we want to do even more.

Our Goal

By raising $20,000, we aim to provide 20 deserving students with $1,000

scholarships at our next AAABSE banquet or reception. But we can't do it

without your help.

Measuring Success

Your generous contribution will not only support these students’ education but

also, help us measure the impact of the scholarship fund on their lives and the

community through planned case studies. These studies will examine statistical

correlations among selected students' high school performances, college

records, and post-graduate successes.
