Geoff Wilson Financial Relief Fund

Geoff Wilson, all around great guy and long-time Placerville community member, has recently experienced some major heartbreaking losses in his life. The purpose of this fundraising is to give Geoff a helping hand in recovering financially.
After a short & shocking losing battle with cancer, Geoff’s high school sweetheart & wife of 30 years, Elaine, passed away in February of this year. Leaving Geoff and his two children, David & Audra, devastated. Not only did Geoff lose his life partner & love, but he also lost the income she provided for the family. As a result of Elaine’s illness, Geoff is left with high medical bills to pay off.
Then in May, tragedy struck again. An electrical fire destroyed the family barn. The barn apartment housed Elaine’s 97 year old mother, Bea, who Geoff was able to rescue from harm. Bea lost everything. The barn storage area housed a lot of family mementos which were all lost. A snowmobile was lost, as well as decking supplies, etc. The barn also housed Geoff’s hobby shop. Most of the shop’s machinery is literally irreplaceable. They just don’t make machinery like that anymore: Bygeorge 52” ring & circle sheer, Bedingher 36” metal spinning lathe, Greyabo 62” metal spinning Lathe, 16” engine lathe, Pexto 52” square sheer metal spinning lathe, along with band saws, drill presses, hand tools, Berner calipers and a generator. Some of this equipment was over 100 years old!

The funds will go directly to offset medical bills for Geoff.

This fund has been set up by Geoff’s daughter, Audra with the help of Cassandra & Julie Leconte (friends of the family). The funds will be administered by Audra.
