Christmas miracle

We have the best neighbors in the world. They do so many wonderful things to help out their older neighbors...take our garbage out, decorate our bushes, babysit Lily, and the list goes on.  Our neighbor's daughter is a single parent, raising a very smart little six year-old, and working fulltime as a CMA in a local doctor's office. She re-connected with her high school sweetheart and were going to begin their life together when this little bundle became their Christmas present. The daughter had a difficult pregnancy with her first, and to complicate her situation, has had insulin-dependent diabetes since high school. So this pregnancy was beginning to be difficult also. I started taking her blood pressure occasionally, noticing numbers were going up every time I took it. The weekend she and Dad were moving to their new apartment, her sister asked me to take it again. The minute I walked into their house, I knew she was getting really sick be-cause she was very swollen and had a headache. Needless to say, her pressures in both arms were extremely high. So I strongly encouraged her to go to the hospital.  After some strong persuading, she did decide to go. After being there overnight, the doctor transferred to UNC CH, where she was for a week until baby's lungs matured. He was only 34-35 weeks when born and was in NICU after birth. Baby is still at UNC, but out of NICU, there to feed and grown. Needless to say, I know her medical expenses have skyrocketed, and this is our Christmas present to her, Dad, and that precious baby.
