On Saturday June 7th, My son and I rescued Lola Mae from the Escambia County Animal Shelter. She was found living under a bridge with her Mom and 5 siblings. This little 8 week old 5lb puppy instantly stole our hearts. On Thursday June 12th we went to see our vet at Davis Animal Hospital. As soon as Dr. Henley listened to Lola’s heart she looked at me and asked me just how attached to this little girl I was. She explained that she had one of the loudest heart murmurs that she has ever heard, and would need cardiac surgery to save her life. Without the PDA repair she would not make it to a year. PDA repairs are only done in Auburn and cost approximately $3,000. Please help us reach our goal so that we can fix Lola’s “broken heart."
