Hope for Hubert

Hubert is a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and is the heart of our family. On April 22nd 2014 our lives all changed forever, when he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. At first doctors were hopeful that it was operable, but a few weeks later, after a painful laparospcopy and PET scan, they discovered that it has spread to his lymph nodes. This means it is now inoperable and terminal. The only treatment they can offer him is chemotherapy, which he will begin on June 24th. He will receive treatment every 3 weeks, and spend 5 days in hospital each time.The doctors have told him that even with treatment, he will have months rather than years to live. This has all come as a huge shock to our family- no one is ever prepared to hear cancer, let alone terminal cancer.

Dad  has always done so much for everyone else, and the hardest part of all this, is feeling so helpless. I want to try and raise as much money as I can to help my parents with medical related expenses, and anything else that they might need. I'm also hoping to get our whole family home to Malta to spend as much time as we can with him. Any donations would be much appreciated and would help our family a lot at this difficult time.
