Project Hygiene

Donation protected
Students vs. Pandemics at UCLA is an interdisciplinary group of UCLA undergraduate and graduate students formed in response to COVID-19. We are aiming to make a positive impact on health and overall wellness during times of crisis and have partnered with Venice Family Clinic to do so. Venice Family Clinic is a federally qualified community health center and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves 28,000 low-income people in Los Angeles County, including more than 4,000 homeless individuals. In addition to providing medical services, they regularly provide hygiene kits to patients in critical need. However, in the setting of COVID-19, their usual donors are no longer able to contribute to this cause, while at the same time the number of unhoused persons in Los Angeles County continues to increase as the economic repercussions of the pandemic takes its toll.

To help to meet the needs of those most vulnerable right now, we are asking that you consider making a financial donation to our efforts. We plan to use these funds to purchase shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, nail clippers/files, razors, shaving cream, and tampons/pads for those who need it most right now.

Thank you so much for any contribution you are able to make!

If you would like a letter acknowledging your donation for tax purposes, please email us at [email redacted]
