HELP!!ECUADOR'S EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

Donation protected

On Saturday 16th at 7:22pm Ecuador felt the most devastating Earthquake of our history. 7.8 magnitude, with over 230 aftershocks. More than 350 people have been recorded dead, thousands wounded and more than 2,500 missing. These numbers are quickly rising.

I went to Manta and Portoviejo yesterday to help save people. I took two trucks full of food, water, clothes and medicine but as soon as we got there these things were not enough. There’s no electricity, water, food or bare necessities.

Major cities are working day and night to collect these goods to ship them to the affected areas. There are people in the hospital parking lots being helped. Many of them lost their houses, families, and part of their bodies.

Hospitals ran out of supplies, they are using Duct Tape to help people with broken bones. Babies are being born without any special treatments or medicine. Wounds are getting very infected; nurses unfortunately are doing emergency procedures they have never done such as amputations. People are loosing their lives quickly.

Our search teams are not prepared for these situations; they need special tools to free the needed. In some places you can hear people screaming they are hurt and short of breath, banging on metal, babies crying, family members going into shock and loosing their minds, dogs waiting for their owners. Too many miseries.

Many residents of the town are now left to spend many nights sleeping outside on mattresses in muggy and tropical conditions and afraid of more aftershocks. Buildings are very fragile and at any time could collapse.

This fund raiser is going to be given to:

·     The Ecuadorian Red Cross (Medics) for the immediate purchase of medicine and supplies needed.

·     Fronteras (this organization builds houses to victims who lost their homes $1450 per house)

·     Due to the high level of corruption in this country, we are volunteering to personally buy supplies, tools, food, and all the necessities and drive daily to different affected areas.

·     Our effort is to ensure 100% of the money given to the organizations or volunteers will be used strictly to help the needed.

I am volunteer from Guayaquil, Ecuador. Live in West Palm Beach, USA. Currently in Ecuador to help the needed. I have a close Relationship/Friendship with Fronteras (Organization that builds houses)
We have friends with strong connections in the Ecuadorian Red Cross.
In a way, I'm a little ashamed of the country because people are stealing and taking advantadge of this situation. I am an honest person and would never commit fraud.
