Kerry's Medical Fund

Dear friends and family, My name is Mellissa, and recently my stepdad, Kerry, became very ill. Durning a trip to Tennessee, Kerry had a blood vessel in his stomach burst causing immense pain and internal bleeding, almost taking his life. He was taken to the hospital and put into the ICU for several days as the doctors tried to figure out how to stop the bleeding and save his life. Kerry also has a history of blood clots and is currently being treated for this through blood thinners. This caused some issues for the current problem at hand. To stop the bleeding they would have to either do surgery, or give him a blood clotting medicine. Both options extremely dangerous. Deciding that the blood clotting medicine was the lesser of two evils, they went ahead with that and decided to monitor him closely. After a few days, the doctors in Tennessee decided that it was safe for Kerry and my Mom to fly home. Now that he is home, he has several appointments with specialists and other doctors to get all of this under control. As you can expect, the medical bills stemming from this event are outrageous and it would mean the world to my family and I if we could raise even a fraction of the cost over the next few months.
