<div>Hurricane Melissa has left parts of Jamaica devastated, especially in the parish of St. Elizabeth — an area where many families depend on the land to survive. Homes were destroyed, crops were wiped out, and livelihoods have been shattered overnight.

<div>My name is Yolande Pendley from the Bay Area in California. My sisters Xania Morris and Yanique Pendley and I have adopted a family from Jamaica whose livelihood was devastated by Category 5 hurricane Melissa.

<div>The home of Moran Porter his wife Janell and their boys aged 5 and 12 years old was severely damaged, and their primary source of income — farming — was completely destroyed. They now face the painful reality of having to rebuild their lives from the ground up, without the financial means to do so.

<div>This campaign has been created to help this family restore stability, dignity, and hope as they navigate the long road to recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support will help with:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>-Emergency housing needs and home repairs
</div>
<div>-Replacing essential household items
</div>
<div>-Purchasing seeds, farming supplies, and tools to restore their livelihood
</div>
<div>-Basic living expenses while they get back on their feet
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is more than just rebuilding a home — it’s about helping restore a family’s ability to survive and sustain themselves. Jamaicans are strong, resilient, and full of pride, and while this family is grateful for assistance, they value their privacy in this difficult time. All funds will go directly toward their recovery and rebuilding efforts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation — no matter the size — will play a meaningful role in helping them rise again. If you cannot donate, sharing this campaign is a powerful gesture of support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you in advance for your generosity, compassion, and solidarity. Together, we can help a family rebuild and reclaim their future.
