Before I knew how much I would like to work with art and design I became a family man. Therefore, being one who has to provide, I missed out on advanced art educations, art projects etc. In other words, I do not illustrate for a living and I can not prioritise my art in such way I wish to — unless It want my family to starve. But still, I want to create; draw, paint and illustrate, and evolve myself doing so.
Sure, I work on commissions every now and then, but the commissions I get are very small ones, each paying me symbolic sums of gratitude but not actual wealth of which I may advance. As an example I often illustrate smaller role-playing games, where the creator is doing this on his or her spare time, and therefore can not pay what an illustration actually costs me in time and effort. I accept and I respect that, definitely — I am very grateful for every commission, but still, that is not taking me where I would like to go.
In short, I want to step it up and what I lack the most is proper gear, especially for my digital artwork. Especially since I plan a future You-tube channel containing art lessons for beginners and adolescents — a channel where I can share my joy and knowledge and hopefully plant seeds of future artists. Creativity is important for the growth of thriving societies.
Support me; support me stepping up my dream, evolving my artwork and benefiting parts of the artist community.
