Help For Kidney Failure

It is incredibly humbling to have to publicly ask for help but here I am.







My name is Chris Riddle. You may know me from various projects in wrestling, or just as a friend or family member. When I was three yearsold I was diagnosed with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. A rare kidney disorder that create scarring of the kidney. It has been an up and down battle over the last 23 years with numerous hospital visits and medications.




When I was in my teens I found out that it had progressed to kidney failure, meaning I would one day need a transplant. At the time it was stated I had Chronic Kidney Disease, stage four.




This week the doctors told me that the disease has progressed to Stage V, end stage kidney failure. That means I have less than 15 percent of my kidney functionality.  In the coming weeks I will be having a surgery to have what is called a fistula put in my arm, that’s a device installed so I can go to the doctor and receive dialysis two to three times a week. That process will begin within the next few months according to doctors.




I will also soon be put through tests to go on the kidney donor list. Within the new few weeks I will receive information on the living donor program and how individuals can be tested to see if they are a match.

It is a incredibly scary process, especially with a lot of unknowns at the moment. But one thing is clear, it will be a massive financial undertaking. I have a fantastic job but as most do I live paycheck to paycheck. I do have health insurance but even with that, the costs will be astronomical on me personally. With dialysis and a transplant forthcoming, it is unknown how much I will be able to work to support myself.




I am humbly asking for any and all help to assist with any forthcoming costs for dialysis and the transplant. Funds will be used to cover treatment and bills as they come in.
