Honduras Mission Trip

Many college students will spend their Spring Break relaxing at home or head south for some fun in the sun, but instead of doing that I and a dozen other students  and faculty at Mount Aloysius College  will proudly spend our spring break volunteering at an orphanage in Honduras. We will work with EL Hogar de Ninos Emmanuel,  an Orphanage located in San Pedro Sula, This orphanage will partner with TOM shoes and has given Millions of pairs of shoes to the less fortunate. 
With that in mind,  this will be my second mission trip as a student at Mount Aloysius College and the previous mission trip has really opened my eye to see how we take our daily necessities for granted. I am trying to use this experience as a way to support these great kids of Honduras and help them get a pair of shoes and most importantly spend time with them and play with these great kids. 
The entire goal of this mission trip is to support, encourage and help celebrate  the community of people who face difficult challenges everyday in Honduras. Being a third world country they are often sometimes forgotten . At the end of the day we have to remember that these are kids that are in a giant need without having their parents in the picture. This Mission trip is  a opportunity to honor these great kids and show them the love and joy we experience everyday.  
The cost of this trip is $550 and my goal is to raise close to that and to even exceed that goal.  This will cover my plane ticket, room and board, and food. this is a great opportunity and nothing would mean more to me than having your support.
