Help for Bella

Hi my names Lou, 

I’m Aunty Lou to three gorgeous girls. 

I have set this page up to try and raise some much needed funds to help my sister to renovate the garden to make it more wheelchair friendly. This will enable Bella to gain a new sense of life and to get her to engage with her sisters and family out side the “house” environment. 

The backstory.....

Bella is two years old, since birth She has been unable to develop like a regular child would. Despite her age Bella functions like a six month old, she needs constant input from all members of the family. This varies from feeding to physio therapy exercises to  helping her move her bowels. 

Bella’s condition (still undiagnosed) requires us travel across the UK to seek answers so that we can best prepare for her future. As I’m sure you can imagine this takes its toll on Bella and the immediate family. Steph doesn’t drive, this makes appointments and every day life ten times difficult. 

Bella’s family consists of;

Steph (Mum) - Steph is a nurse and works at a local hospital. To support her family she works lengthy shifts at the hospital as well as taking on extra shift at a care home in order to get Bella to appointments and to support the family. 

Allen (Dad) - Allen works in sales. In order for him to support his family Alan travels worldwide, sometimes for weeks at a time.

Eva & Amber (Sisters) - Sassy as! They are so eager to play with Bella in the garden.

Details of what the funds will be used for....

In order for Bella to be able to exercise, develop and start to engage in social skills. We have been trying to save for a garden upgrade. We currently have a decking that is rotting away with holes in and it doesn’t have a ramp to enable us to get her in to the garden safely.

In order to supply a ramp straight to the garden, we have been told we would need to remove decking. We have been trying to save funds but as you can imagine this has proven difficult. Inevitably the struggles of life gets in the way and we are having to start again. As I’m sure you’ll agree, this seems to be a continual cycle.

Ideally we would like to get a solution in place by the end of summer to at least get Bella working on moving and interacting with not only her family but children her age as well.

The support to even get a fraction of the goal would be out of this world. The daily struggle to perform the littlest of tasks for Bella, takes its toll. So to get a solution that allows to wheel her in to the garden would be a weight lifted off our shoulders (literally). 

This is not something I would normally do and I try give where I can. Any money raised over the goal amount I intend to put into the following charity NSPCC.
