Missions trip to the Dominican Republic

We are thrilled to let you know that this year all 6 Franks are headed to the Dominican Republic to partner with the work that Pastor Tanis and Esther Derolus are doing there as they seek unity between the Dominicans and the Haitians, bringing about here on earth a tiny picture of what God’s perfect kingdom will one day look like.

Last year, the team was able to help fund the addition to the school there and spent many hours moving cinder blocks, scraping, and painting. The school now holds classes for over 500 students! Graduates have been able to go on to further education, and some have become teachers at the school, some trained in medical professions, engineering, and business administration. It’s truly heartening to see the impact that Colegio Moriah (the school) has on the community.

Our three teens were able to witness God at work in a completely different environment than they are used to. Through walks in the community, church services, time spent playing with students, conversations with Pastor Tanis, Esther, and others, and a memorable and impactful visit out to a village in a sugar cane plantation, Addison, Eliana, and Samuel came away with a realization that while America might be rich in material wealth, we are lacking and poor in spirit. What they witnessed in the people there gave them encouragement that through Christ and our relationship with Him and His people, we can experience true joy despite our circumstances. It was so amazing to hear them talk together at the end of each day and process what they were experiencing and learning. We are so grateful to those of you who prayed for them and financially supported them! God is shaping them through these experiences and through seeing how people like Tanis and Esther live lives of deep faith and dependence on God.

Would you join us again in prayer & support? Lord willing - we will leave on March 7 and return on March 15th. We look forward to Justin & Ezra joining us this year and serving together in this way before Addison graduates and leaves home.

We need to raise $1,800 each by March 1st. If you would like to learn more, check out this link! https://eamission.weebly.com/about.html
