Healing for Sister Darlene Shelton

Donate to my sister-in-Christ's GoFundMe. This GoFundMe was created to help Sister Shelton receive amniotic regenerative cell treatment of her knees and shoulders because they are bone-on-bone.

However, her polymyositis is giving her urgent issues and pain. She is currently in the hospital for shortness of breath, discomfort and inflammation in her chest due to polymyositis. 

Back in 2018, Sister Darlene  had a doctor's appointment for her shoulders. Her doctor found that she has osteoarthritis in shoulders and knees, which is the end stage of a degenerative disease. Insurance would pay for knee surgery, but she cannot have it because of her polymyositis and her body already enduring over 20 surgeries. 

She will need financial assistance with the regenerative cell therapy, because the insurance will not pay for the cell therapy unless she was military.  The treatment will cost $11,000.

Update 2020: The doctors here in Nashville are unknowledgeable to handle her rare condition, polymyositis and she will need to travel to John Hopkin’s Hospital as soon as possible to be treated for it. All of her doctors are suggesting that she goes to see the specialists there because they do have the specialized treatment for it in Tennessee. 

During this Coronavirus pandemic, it is also critical that she have the money to travel to the D.C., Maryland, Virginia area for the treatment. Her doctors in Nashville do not have enough information from the lab tests to accurately determine what to do to get her symptoms treated. She has rashes in her scalp, tenderness in her breasts, swollen stomach, pain in arms, pain when walking and climbing stairs, throat issues, inflammation in lymph nodes, and bowel issues all related to polymyositis.  

She is raising money to have amniotic regenerative cell therapy and for the trip to John Hopkin’s. She will need money for gas, hotels, food, and other costs associated with traveling. John Hopkins has already approved her to come. Just needing the money to get there! 

No amount is too small! If each person could give $1, or even $5,  we will reach our goal.
