Zoe's Ballet Summer Intensive Camp

My name is Zoë Birdsong. I am 11 years old, and have been taking classical ballet dance classes since I was 3 years old. My dream is to follow in the pointe shoes of Misty Copeland, the first African-American Principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre (ABT), and become a professional ballerina.
I audition for, and was honored to be selected for the exclusive Los Angeles Ballet School's summer intensive program. It is a 5-week program, where I will take instruction from some of the most accomplished ballet dancers in the world, 8-10 hours a day. This elite instruction and immersion will take me to the next level in the ballet world.
When ballet dancers like me are lucky enough to be accepted into these competitive summer intensive programs, there are no scholarships offered for your first summer. Ballet companies want to see if a dancer is worth the investment, and won’t offer full scholarships to dancers until their 2nd summer intensive. I want to go all the way, and am eager to prove myself this summer. This will also help me earn college scholarships for ballet in the future!
I am raising money to help fund my Summer Intensive Ballet camp. I am soooo excited and looking forward to attending the camp!
Your contributions and support will be the 1st step towards helping me achieve my dream. Any donation you can provide is so very much appreciated.
If you have young children, for any donation of $20+, I will make and send your child a package of my famous, homemade slime!!
I will be blogging and posting pictures and videos of my early days in ballet, up to and including, my summer intensive program, so my experience can be shared with the aspiring ballet dancer in your life!
