My partner Mark Kramer has been battling Melanoma for 7 years now. In July we found out that it has now gone into his brain. We almost lost him on July 29. The amazing team at UCSF saved his life. It has been a struggle for us since then, as I am only working about half time, just enough to keep our benefits going. It is just the two of us. Not that friends and family haven't stepped up, they have. Generously! But there isn't much money coming in. We have managed to stay afloat, but are feeling the crunch more and more each day.
