My cat desperately needs to see a vet

Donation protected

Hi everyone, Azalea is in trouble again:( She just got up, stumbled, tilted over to her side and crashed to the floor. She looks like she is out of her mind dizzy. Her thyroid medication was adjusted with her last blood test two weeks ago and I'm scared that something is seriously wrong with the dose. She desperately needs to be seen by a vet and given a blood test to see if this dose is too high or too low. In the mean time she is suffering, and I am so scared for her.

We don't have enough money to take her to any vet right now, we are down to our last $20 until my moms paycheck comes in a few days. I'm terrified that Azalea can't wait until then. Last time this happened, ER intervention saved her life, thanks to all of you.

The total of $1545.00 that this fundraiser shows as raised was the previous money raised from over a month ago when Azalea almost died, paying for her ER fees, hospitalization, and echocardiogram, medication and blood work (thanks to all of you. Oh my god, you guys literally saved her life).

The ER vet said on the phone that something is obviously very wrong, most likely with her new thyroid dose and that she needs to be seen ASAP. They also mentioned the possibility that her blood pressure may be high again and in combination with an out of control thyroid, she could go blind or pass a fatal blood clot while this goes without medical intervention.

She needs an ER blood test to see if her thyroid dose is too high or too low, to have her blood pressure checked, and possible medication to intervene and save/protect her. The ER exam fee is $137, the blood work is $180, and the blood pressure is $65. Any part of that money could help us convince the vet to see her, and work out payment arrangements with us.

If you can help again, or even if you could just share that Azalea is struggling and needs help, that would mean the world to us and our little cat family. The vet told me last time that some cats are so sensitive and take a long, scary time to find "their" thyroid medicine dose. Please help us help Azalea find her dose, so she can live a long and healthy life with her babies who are both extremely alarmed and upset by what's happening to their mom. Anna Banana went to snuggle with her, and Azalea lashed out at her, which is completely unlike her. I think she just feels so sick right now. Anna is hiding under the bed, and upset:(

Any help or shares would make the difference for this beautiful Mommy cat. She was doing SO well because all of you stepped in and saved her life. She's been actively being eeeeveryones mom again, including any and all new people who come into our apartment, lol. I just want to get her back on track with her medicine, to her happy, blissful, love-filled life. Thank you all so much for all of your kindness towards Azalea. Thank you again.

Original post: Our beloved family cat Azalea (11) started stumbling the other day out of the blue. Today, I watched as Azalea fell onto her face, tried to use her face to stand and ultimately fell down. She has been hiding under the bed ever since. When her initial stumbles started, we were able to take her into the Humane Society for blood work which came back normal except for her thyroid levels which have been high since she was first diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a year ago. The doctor took a guess and thought the little stumbles were an ear infection that they couldn't see, and sent us home with antibiotics. Things are worsening for her. She came out just now and has started walking into walls and her body feels colder than normal. I'm terrified that something more serious is going on, as Azalea also has had a heart murmur her entire life and the worsening of these symptoms is scaring me to death.

The ER vet says she needs some diagnostic work to find out what's happening and they will not treat her until payment is made in full up front. I have only enough money to cover the emergency fee of $167.00. Our other vet agreed to make payment arrangements with us for diagnostics IF we completely finished paying our previous payment arrangement with them from April when our other rescue cat Herburt almost died from an impacted colon. That would cost about $500 plus a deposit on any treatment Azalea would get today.

I'm so scared Azalea's life is hanging in the balance as she gets sicker and sicker. We desperately need help to get her seen so we can figure out what is wrong with her and get her treatment so she can get back to playing, snuggling with her two adult daughters, who she bathes and kisses every single day and chatting with the birds who come to our window every morning.

I'm terrified that because we dont have this money right now this beautiful gentle soul is going to lose her life. She wants to be EVERYONE's mommy and any time you are sad or need some mothering she will just appear, purring with a beautiful smile on her face, and an outstretched paw. She is truly this extraordinary, gentle soul.

Please, if you can spare anything to save the kindest, most loving kitty, you will be making this family's LIFE. Please share Azalea's story if you can. All we want is to help our Mommy cat.
