<div>This is Rylee Blake—a bright, compassionate, and full-of-life young woman. She is the kind of person who lights up every room she enters. She’s an active member of her high school community at Pace High School, participating in everything from the weight lifting team, Beta Club, Interact Club, and Spanish Honor Society, to SWAT, SAFE for Fentanyl, Track, Honors and AP courses, and Bible study. Rylee has always given her all to everything she does.

<div>But now, Rylee is facing a battle no one could have imagined. On the evening of March 19, 2025, she and her father were riding his motorcycle down Route 44 in Raynham, Massachusetts, when a vehicle, unable to see them, caused a horrific crash. Rylee has been left homebound, recovering from devastating injuries.

<div>Although Rylee is back home in Pace and making daily improvements, the road to recovery is long. She still has a long way to go and will need more surgeries and procedures. Right now, she’s dealing with a broken left femur in two pieces, a right ankle with a bone fragment that cracked off, and a left jaw that was shattered in two. Her jaw has been wired shut, and a rod was inserted into her left leg to stabilize the injury.

<div>But through it all, Rylee is hungry for healing. And for the surgery she needs to have her jaw wires removed, she is facing an incredible challenge. There are few maxillofacial surgeons who are available, and those who are covered by insurance simply won’t take new patients. We are now searching as far away as Georgia and Northern Alabama, but finding a surgeon who will accept her case and is in network has proven impossible.

<div>One surgeon has agreed to take Rylee’s case, but the cost is staggering—he’s not covered by insurance, and the payment is required upfront. This surgery is critical for Rylee to avoid complications in her recovery and to ensure that her jaw heals properly.
