Turkey Mission Trip

Dear Friends,
Thank you SO much for stopping by my page and for taking an interest in what I am about to share. I am thankful for each and every one of you, and your interest in continuing to read what I have to say is enough to be grateful for.
This summer, from July 10 thru July 25, I will be going on a mission trip to Turkey. Turkey is considered an unreached people group, which means that there is less than a 2% population of Christians and no self-propagating church. For 15 days I’ll be working to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to a Muslim world. In Turkey, I’ll be going out with a team, but then we’ll separate into smaller groups with nothing but our backpacks and the Lord’s leading. We’ll have no set plan or agenda or even a direction to walk in. We’ll just follow as we feel led by God. The hospitality of the culture does make it possible though for us to befriend people and to be invited to stay over in their homes overnight. This would be the hope when we are out there, but others in the past have also spent nights sleeping outside. This is not uncommon. The hope however is that we can find a family to stay with, get to know that family in the short time we have together, and then share with them the love of Christ.
Ephesians 6 tells us that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” If you have a moment, or two, or three, or four to ever lift up any prayers for this work that is ahead of me, I would sincerely from the bottom of my heart appreciate that more than anything else. No gift or amount of money can awaken someone’s spirit to the truth of Jesus Christ, but a prayer? Your prayers could make all the difference. On behalf of all those that you don’t know your prayers will reach, thank you so much for engaging in the spiritual work of advancing God’s kingdom and for being part of someone’s journey to life and redemption in Jesus.
There are two ways that you can formally partner with me in this:
1) GET ON MY INTERCESSORY PRAYER LIST: My sending organization, InterCP, asks for a list of 20+ people that will receive real time updates and prayer requests from the field. If you’d like to be on this list, please let me know!
2) SUPPORT FINANCIALLY: My goal is to raise $2100 to cover flight, field, and service costs. Any contribution, big or small means so much. If you have my phone number, you can also send me contributions via Venmo or Bank Of America. Thank you for partnering with me in this way!
