Every Kid Deserves a Toy!
One of the most gratifying things Veronica and I do every holiday season is to donate toys to disadvantaged children in San Francisco. This year the need for toys is greater than ever given the financial toll the pandemic has had on many families. It is estimated that more than half the residents in big U.S. cities are struggling financially. Kids are often hit the hardest.
Veronica and I are stepping up our efforts and asking for donations to help these families through the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program. The oldest program of its kind in the nation, last year they distributed toys to more than 40,000 children.
Every $25 donation we receive will allow us to buy a basketball, volleyball, skateboard, tennis racket, or baseball glove for children who may not otherwise get any gifts this year. Gifts will focus on “tweens” - often the most neglected group in toy drives.
