Please generously help Alice as she recovers physically and financially from hospitalization. She has no immediate family for support. It is her friends who have created this Go Fund Me campaign in the hope that those whose lives have been touched by Alice as well as others can compassionately offer support in her extreme time of need.
Alice is a lover of cats, English lords & Scottish time travelers. Her belief is above all about breaking unhealthy patterns in mind and body. "Ask for what you want, not what you don't want", is her ongoing teaching motto. Her extraordinarily gifted body work techniques have been considered nothing less than genius. So many have been healed and lives forever changed by Alice's amazing spirit offering healing to those willing to dive into the body/mind connection & transcend.
Since 1991, Alice Putt M.A. has been using Body/Mind Integration to resolve posture issues and relieve tension both physical and emotional stored in the body. She has worked extensively with Dancers, Singers, Athletes, Musicians, Pilates Instructors, and Yoginis. For the special needs of these and other professions she has developed her own additional sessions as an adjunct to the original 10 sessions developed by Dr. Ida Rolf.
After teaching and professionally performing ballet for 30 years, Alice was severely injured in an auto accident which ended her career and left her in pain for 6 years from whiplash. The result was a dislocated jaw, vertigo, nausea, migraines and loss of range of motion and balance. Many different therapies were tried with limited success. Body/Mind Integration resolved these issues for her in 15 sessions. And she has continued to pass on these benefits to many other performing artists, extending their careers.
In addition to her knowledge of ballet and dance, Alice has studied Kinesiology at UCI, has B.A.’s from UCLA and UCI, and an M.A. from UCR where she also taught as a Visiting Lecturer. She then completed studies in Touch for Health/Applied Kinesiology, Lymphatic Drainage, and Medical Qi Gong. She also studied Shamanism with Michael Harner and with Jose Gonzales of the Healing Qi Institute. She combines all her knowledge to individually suit the client and their issues.
Body/Mind Integration is a complete restructuring of the posture in 10 or more sessions that relieves tension and pain. It breaks up stuck patterns of holding, moving and thinking and promotes freedom and choice. It ends up being more than just a physical therapy. It becomes a new way of approaching life.
