<div>Our lives changed when my mother, <strong>Monica, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer eight months ago</strong>. For the last eight months, she has been doing chemo. For anyone who knows her, they know how much of an amazing heart she has. If she has the ability to help you, she will. Monica grew up in Santa Fe and attended Santa Fe High School. She met and fell in love with the love of her life, Leroy Padilla. They married in 1986 and welcomed their first daughter, Stephanie Padilla. They welcomed Marissa Padilla four years later, in 1990. She has been blessed with four grandkids: Kenny, Monique, Aaliyah, and Aiden. Monica's number one priority always in life is her husband and her family! Anybody that has come across her can say how beautiful of a woman she is and how much she can share her love and happiness with others. She is dedicating her life to those she loves. Caring for her loved ones has always been her priority. These past months since she was diagnosed have been very rough on her and her family. She still has high hopes and positive energy and is fighting every single day to survive! She is a strong woman, that's for sure!

<div>She has been fighting like hell and surgery is the next step! We are blessed this happened sooner than expected. Which also unfortunately means we're stretched financially trying to put all the accommodations in order, as surgery takes place out of state in early October giving us little time prepare.
