Dear Friends,
An amazingly beautiful selfless family has suffered a tragedy. While taking a late evening ride with his dad, Cody Ziemkowski, soon to be nine years old, took an unfortunate fall from his bicycle. He was taken via ambulance to Children's Hope Hospital.
Cody suffered a skull fracture that's depressed and may require a plate to repair. He has a small brain bleed and will probably require surgery. In addition, Cody has a C2 fracture and many facial fractures that may require surgery as well. After MRI, MRA and 2 other tests he had trouble regulating his heart rate/blood pressure. He had an EKG and will be followed by a cardiologist now too. The plastic surgeon said they will repeat a 3D facial cat scan to see what surgery is needed. I will post updates as the situation continues..
In the meantime, this family needs help! In addition to the medical expenses that are ongoing, the Ziemkowskis will be spending many nights away from home; missing days from work; traveling back and forth and on and on... If you find it within your heart to donate.. Anything can help!
