Ukraine Aid

My name is Nataliia Yakushko. I am a doctoral student in the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship in the Haslam College of Business, and I am the only Ukrainian student on a student visa at the University of Tennessee. I was born and raised in the small town Dolyna, in the western part of Ukraine. As you undoubtedly already know, my country is in a fight for its very existence. Our families, friends, and loved ones have to battle and struggle for their lives, kids, and territory every day. Ukrainians know how to defend their dignity and fight for human rights values: life, democracy, and freedom. Regardless of age, gender, language, or religion, we stand for each other. And today, as never before, we need the same unity to defend our independence, freedom, and right to choose our own future and the future of Ukraine.

To do this, we need your help. We are raising funds for brave Ukrainians who are risking their lives to protect the freedom of all Ukrainians. Your donation will fund emergency as well as ongoing needs, including helmets, bulletproof vests, shoes, thermographic cameras, first aid kits, and medicine. I will ensure donations are being used for a good cause by traveling to Poland in June and will share pictures of how these donations are positively changing Ukrainian lives during this incredible difficult time. With your help, I am planning on purchasing in the US and Europe tactical medicine for the front line doctors, such as Celox Gauze (stop bleeding from arterial injuries, gunshot wounds and other severe bleeding injuries), tourniquets, and Israeli bandages (first-aid device that is used to stop bleeding from hemorrhagic wounds caused by traumatic injuries in pre-hospital emergency situations), and thermographic cameras ($400-600 each), tactical gloves ($20-30 each pair), drones with a night vision ($800-$1,200).

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide – every cent is more appreciated than words can express. To read more about my endeavors, please see the following article: https://haslam.utk.edu/news/haslam-doctoral-student-from-ukraine-organizes-relief-for-her-country/
